Car repo
My car was repo today not for not making payments but because they were unable to contact us. They sent a reop man out 3 times they said and were told we didn't live there. They came and picked the car up today in front of my house I not suppose to living in. Now they want proof of residency,employment,insurance. Can they do this?

Normally no--if you were paying.
Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office. |
