Default Wage Garnishment Help

About 4 months I made arrangements to pay a $1500 dollar debt off through a local Law Office, the arrangement was I pay $100 a month. This was fine, and I felt like I was finally getting everything straightened out.

The very month I made this agreement, the very same law office put through a 3 year old judgment to have my wages garnished for the full 25% because of another debt. This debt was $6500. These are literally the last 2 debts I have.

I can no longer pay that $100 dollars that I originally agreed to, of course the law office won't work with me on it. What can they do to me if I quit paying on it? Can they put 2 garnishments on my wages for 50%??

Is there anything I can do, I have to pay the bills and I feel if I could get these 2 debts put into some kind of loan and pay back a lower monthly fee I'd be doing okay. Is there any company that specializes in loans of this kind?

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

You could also threaten bankruptcy if they actually will not compromise... See also http://www.worldlawdirect.com/articl...top_abuse.html
