Please help w/aggresive lawyer

We owe for an old gas and electric bill ,about $3000. It was sent to collection. We had a written aggrement with the attorney, Lacy Katzen, to pay $20 bi-weekley. We made the first two payments , no problems. Then when the next payment was due I sent it. Two weeks went by that payment wasnt cashed. Now the next payment is due so I send it in. Still the last payment hasnt been cashed. I call Katzens office and Im told the payment we set up is not enough so they sent it to the marshal, and I was supposed to take it up with the marshal! I called his office 2 or 3 times with no response back. This was back in Sept. 07. The on fri. I look at by bank acct on line and it shows a neg. $5200!! They put some kind of lein or something on my acct. with no prior notice or anything.Please help!!! How can they do this when we had a written aggrement?

They must have sued and won--and then collected on the judgment.
