stepson
Over a year ago my fiance signed up for membership at a gym here.
He also signed his then 17 year old son up. They both stopped going to the gym last summer. It was a one year membership, the father has his issues trying to cancell it due to back problem and no way ot being able to pay for it. Now the other day it came a letter to the now 18 year old boy about him owing money. And that they couldnt charge his debit/credit card. He never had one.. The kid left home after his 18 year old birthday and mover to another state. He never signed up for the gym. He only went their a few times with dad last spring and early summer. They are threatning to report the kid to collection. To me that doesnt sound ok since they don't have his signature any where. Plus the dont have his social number or his dads social number either. The father cant pay it due to lack of income. Can they report the kid to credit agencys if they only have his name and birth info. Thank you for your answer. The minor is not responsible and they cannot take action against him.
