I am on probation, with conditions. On my pink sheet with conditons, at the top of the sheet, it says "Recognizance Engagement".
I was told when I signed this sheet that I am on peace bond, but have to report to a probation Officer. My question: Are these the same thing? My PO said he would have no knowledge if the peace bond would be breached, only if I was brought up in court on it. He said he has only information on the probation conditions. |

Those are normally two different things--the PO is the person monitoring you and accepting your reports etc.
The peace bond is restraining you from doing certain things. |
