Confused I dont see this on here...best western points

I was accused of felony theft by fraud for using best western gold crown club points by my employer and was arrested. I know nothing about the law, i was brought in for questioning. i am scheduled for arraignment tommorrow and my law student friend cant be there. Anyway the total amount he says i owe is 750 dollars. I tried topay it back when the police officer brought me in, but my old boss said no. The police officer was shocked. Anyway...is it ok to not have a lawyer at my arraignment, what are the precidents on this issue, should i plead no contest or guilty or not guilty. It was an honest missunderstanding. I believed when a guest didnt use their points i could transfer them to my name. The points can be used for free rooms. I had no idea my boss could somehow be charged for this. If the guest would have had a card they would have been using them too....to make matters worse, my boss used to be my best friend so now i am totally uncomfortable... i am at a loss please help me i am a good kid who just finished college and now started a new career. Will i have to tell my employer? I also wasnt fingerprinted or photographed, why is that?

Make sure you get legal counsel (or at least the public defender) to try to keep this off your record eventually--jail time is not likely if your record is clear now. But having that arrest and/or a conviction on your record could make job-hunting etc. more difficult. Often this could be negotiated down to some kind of court supervision or even be dismissed etc. If it eventually appears it cannot be negotiated down, or you need to discuss this in more detail with senior counsel to review options etc., please let us know...
