My daughter was working as manager of a franchise in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her bosses accused her of walking off with $25,000. She says that she didn't do it. Anyway that was 6 years ago and we haven't heard anything since. Is that considered embezzlement and what is the statute of limitations on embezzlement?

It is very unlikely they will act now after six years but in some cases it technically never expires...
