Smile Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban

In Ohio, a person convicted of 1M misdemeanor Domestic Violence in 1999 with no priors and no new convictions since wants to know if purchasing, owning, handling, possessing, or hunting with a crossbow is banned by the domestic violence offender gun ban. Also, can the conviction be expunged, and if so, would purchasing a gun be permissable after the expungement?
