misdemenor drug possession
I have been told I can not get a public defender, my home is not in foreclosure yet but almost. I have misdemenor drug charge of possesion of a narcotic. I have never been in trouble before and have been clean for over 10years, I still follow my program and work closely with my attending doctor,
I had a slip and took a narcotic from work. I have given up my license to practise, and now face my charges without an attorney. what do I do. what is a sect 17 or an Ard. can I do this myself, it seems I have no chose, I can't afford 2,000 dollars, I can barely feed my kids, and am eligable for no help. PLEASE HELP |

You really have to have legal counsel. Can friends or family chip in. Don't try to do this alone and frankly you need better counsel than a public defender to argue for you. This could affect you for a long time.

no there is no one. thank you for your reply, I tried a website called justice denied for a pro bono attorney, but they don't do criminal charges. I thought
everyone was entitled to counsel, it seems everyone with money. I'm sunk. |
