My son (age 24) loaned an iPod to a friend (age 29). The friend when requested to return the iPod, offered to purchase the iPod but has various reasons for failure to pay. My spouse spoke with the friend and requested the friend either 1) return the iPod, 2) pay for the iPod or 3) suffer consequences of option three. No threat to harm. Option three is of course legal recourse.
My son is hesitant to file a policy report. The question: May my son symbolically gift the iPod to my husband, conveying the gift in writing? This would permit my husband to file a police report without placing my son in a treacherous position. Last edited by nortness; Sep 22nd, 2007 at 09:41 AM. |
