You know child molesters can face both criminal charges and civil liability. Fortunately, if a molester has assets or income, the victim can sue for damages based upon intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, battery, false imprisonment and assault. An attorney should be consulted and hired to pursue these claims.

YOU cannot sue, but your parents certainly can on your behalf.

Have you received counseling to help you deal with this? What damages are you seeking?

I'm receiving counseling soon, since I have just told.
What damages should I be seeking and for how much?

At this point, since you have not yet received counseling, no one can really decide how much damages have been done to you.

Your parents need to speak with an attorney about this.

You're going to need a shrink's report in the lawsuit. You will have to have your parents sue on your behalf since you are still a minor. I wouldn't jump at dollar signs or start talking about money with others (in real life), it will not make you look good in court.
