Unhappy National Criminal Records Report

Submitted for a criminal background check and came back showing information regarding a case #37332PJVD2137 out of the Indio branch of Riverside County Superior Court. The statute # is 22356B VC, I have been trying for a week now to find out what this is about but have'nt had any luck. A friend suggested I try this, please help!

You may call the clerk of the court involved and or the local DA; you can even order the record if need be.

World Law's lawyers could also probably intervene and help resolve this if need be. You may email them on the home page.

As the former poster said, you can call the clerk of court for that county, give them the case number, and they can give you more information about the case. You may also check online if the county court has a searchable database. Search by case number or name there. Lastly, you can find the criminal law statutes online for your state and type in the statute number to see what the charge was.

As a former records clerk for a state prison, I spent many hours doing just what you are trying to do. It is not always easy to decipher old cases listed on a criminal background check. That case may be something that was dismissed years ago or was pled down to something lesser (like a misdemeanor). See if the clerk will give you the disposition of the case in writing. If this doesn't show up on the criminal background check, they may have to have the record amended.

I had a complete mix-up in names and it took six months to get it cleared. So be certain that accidents do happen and check the records closely!!
