subpoenaed to testify
If you were subpoenaed to testify in a case as witness for the state (which happens to be Texas) in a which you dropped the charges and did not show what will happen to you?

They can try to call you back in and have the judge order you to appear and cooperate. If the order was actually from the judge you could be in contempt right away.
What actually happened? |

My friend dropped charges on her once boyfriend and the state picked up the charges and now want her to testify against him as a witness on their behalf. The subpoena didn't come from the judge but the state attorney....now what?
