can a associate judge take the preliminary hearing off the docket and not reschedule it for any reasons the person has been held for 9 months and no preliminary but is charge with first degree murder

can a judge hear a criminal case against a person accused of murder while at the same time take care of the deceased persons family will isnt this a little close for comfort like conflict of interest

Normally no. Have legal counsel file and object and the judge could be sanctioned if there is any wrongful conduct occurring.
