Default conflict of interest with the officer investigating my house

south carolina, I was arrested for burglary 1st and petit larceny on a statement by someone who admitted to the crime but I'm innocent. Can one statement be enough to get a warrant for my arrest? The arresting officer is also the officer that's investigating my house when it was broke into the same weekend I'm being accused of my charges. Is this a conflict of interest with the officer investigating my house and also trying to prosecute me?

Default re: conflict of interest with the officer investigating my house

Sometimes a statement is enough for issuing a warrant, provided that statement is having substantial truth as to the offence/incident. It seems that the offences are interrelated in such circumstances the same investigating officer who had investigated your house can prosecute you. In that case you cannot raise an objection on the ground of ‘conflict of interest’. It is better advised that you may consult with a Criminal Attorney who can give a proper guidance in this regard.

Exclamation Re: conflict of interest with the officer investigating my house

The person that signed a statement on me for the burglary is 1 of the 3 people that broke into my house. that's how these cases are related. I got 1 item back that was stolen from my house when it was pawned by my other co-defendent. he was charged with receiving stolen goods but has since confessed to me that he also had my laptop so i contacted the police with the new info and nothing was done. I was not contacted when he was arrested or contacted about his court date, which has already occured. I feel the officer has discriminated against my rights as a victim and a citizen. I'm being set up by my co-defendents bc they broke into my house and I'm trying to have faith in our justice system! Help Me Please!
