I caught my bf cheating at his friends house when I was five months pregnant. At the time I was so enraged that I called the police and told them he tried to kill me I know its looks bad, but he never laid a hand on me I was just in shock. bcuz the female he cheated with was pregnant as well he is a second time offender and I really regret doing this what are some steps I can take to correct this he was charged with the person of the house gun n lbs of marijuana which was not his please help

Generally you cannot drop the criminal charges pressed against your bf. Once the police get involved, it is out of the victim’s hands. Once a person is charged with criminal charges, it is very difficult to get the charges dropped, no matter how hard the victim may fight for it. A criminal action involves a crime against the state, not against a particular victim. But if you could convince the prosecutor that you gave such a false allegation due to sudden provocation, he may drop the charges against your bf. LOL. "Please help". It's too bad you couldn't be arrested and charged with filing a false accusation. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is come clean to the police. Don't worry though. They won't press charges against you. You're a woman, and women get away with these types of atrocities all the time.

It depends on when he was convicted or if he is still awaiting trial. If he is awaiting trial, you can appear as an adverse witness (victim) and testify on his behalf. If he has been convicted, he can file for post-conviction relief based on newly discovered evidence (if you make a formal affidavit) saying you lied.

Prosecution is something not to be taken lightly. A person's whole life can be ruined in a matter of seconds as the consequences can be lifelong condemnation. Understand that I'm responding ONLY because you're trying to help him right a wrong.
