Disorderly Conduct
I was driving in my car the other night listening to a baseball game. A player made an error and I said "Come on ********". A police officer was passing by and heard me say it. He gave me a minor misdemeanor for disorderly conduct for cursing inside corporation limits. There is a city ordinance that makes it illegal to curse inside the city limits. First of all, ******** is not a curse word. Second, I hear much worse at the local high school football games. Also, the officer misspelled five things on the ticket and put 2006 instead of 2007 three times but wrote 2007 over two of them. Is a city allowed to make such an ordinance since the first amendment guarantees free speech? If so, is the ticket viable since the errors? Thanks.

The judge will usually correct the errors but we agree a court may throw it out as that term is not generally a curse word...
