Default Resisting arrest in SC: Can I fight that charge?

South Carolina: Can i be charge with resisting arrest if i was never touched by a police officer or told that i was under arrest, I ran when i seen them pull up. Can i fight that charge?

I wish to inform you that you may contest the matter. When neither the police officer is touched nor told that you are under arrest then you may not be liable. By not telling that you are under arrest you have not spoken any lies and therefore you are not liable. In this regard you may be held liable if police officer came to arrest you and you have given false identity. Resisting arrest is committed when arrest is avoided by the person when police had come to arrest him.

And have some reason for why you were running away.
