Easy question please help

I have a quick easy question but I need to tell you the story first.

I went to a department store on a Mall located at a Wealthy neighborhood. Every time I go there and I am not dressed up I have people following me like I am going to still something. For God sake Iive in that neighborhood, I am jsut latin. This time I got fed up. I went in there and as soon as I walk in the store I notice 2 women wouldn't stop asking me if I needed help. I answer them twice no thank you . I also notice a man on a suit sanding a few feet away pretending he was shopping (in a women section) I knew immediately he was watching me. I had just gotten out of the gym and was running at the lake so I had gym clothes and a shirt with a few small holes in it. I got pretty mad so I change the price on one of the wallets that were for sale. The price from one wallet I put it on a different wallet. I made it very obvious to see what they would do. Then I ask where the shoe department was ( I knew were I was, I have been in the store many many times). I notice the same man follow me there, he was far but he was there. Then I went to the beauty department to buy my mascara, I pay for the mascara and attempted to pay for the wallet. I wanted to pay for the wallet , take it back and tell them how anoyed I was for them folowing me. I have 2 wallets I don't need one more. I just wanted to make a point. Well as soon as I attempted to pay for the wallet the same man came to the register and told the cashier I couldn't pay for the wallet there, I need to go to a different cashier, which is not true, at this department store you can pay for pots and pans at the shoe department. I told the girl , that it was fine, I just paid for the mascara and gave her the wallet back and I left.



Since I paid for my mscara, and they have my name , can they charge me with anything? Can they send me a letter charging me with attempting to pay for a product with a different price?

Yikes--that was dangerous -- you cannot switch price tags like that.
But if they did not nab you right there (and they legally could have done so I would add!) they probably are not going to do anything now.

Does that "probably" means they will not or does it means they still have a chace??
What if they have any video? I doubt it but what if?
My friends would not believe that things like that would happen to me and I had several times taken them to stores like this one and have them watch from outside so they see what happens.

They indeed should have acted on the spot if they wanted to do something. They have still have a right to act but will not I would think.
