Unhappy Possible warrant in Florida? I was arrested for fighting my brother.

Florida- Hey I'm 20m and I don't know if I have a warrant in Tampa Florida.I was arrested for fighting my brother when I was 18, even though he had started the fight. He showed the cops his military I.D. and they ended up arresting me even though I defended myself. Well I was bailed out and I had left the state 2 weeks later. but I never received any court paper work. My brother dropped the charges that would have been felony 3rd degree? domestic battery via strangulation. (because he had 1 scratch on his neck). So my bail bonds man never told me anything about having to go to court or anything. so I'm hoping that it's over. I also owe money from rent, water, electricity, and I had unintentionally bounced 1 check at a check loan place called amscott for about $150.00. and I have over 10,000 dollars in medical bills. I know that sounds bad but life happens. I checked online to see if I have one but the searches say they couldnt find anything about me. But it also says not every warrant shows up. So is there any other way to find out if I have a warrant? without actually turning myself in? I called the sheriffs office and they said no. I would just like to go back to my home(florida) I havent been there in two years. Im in Ohio now.

And also, even though my brother dropped the charges, why when I applied for a job in New York, with Duane Reade, they did a background check and it showed up? they refused to hire me because of that, they said I lied on the application where it said have I ever been convicted of a felony. I was never convicted. So why does it show up in a check? and how can I get it removed? Thank you for your help.

You can ask a lawyer to see if you have a warrant. And as far as the felony charge that your brother dropped. Depending on which state the offense happened in, it can still show up on your record.
