NORTH CAROLINA
I AM THE PRESIDENT OF A HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION- WE WANT TO INSTALL CAMERAS BUT ARE CONCERNED THAT THE IMAGES CANNOT BE PUBLISHED IN OUR NEWS LETTER TO HELP ID THE CULPRITS WHO VANDLIZE THE PROPERTY. CAN WE PUBLISH THE PHOTOS OF CULPRITS IN OUR NEWS LETTER EVEN IF THEY ARE MINORS? WE WANT KNOW THEY ARE MINORS UNTIL PROVEN. WHERE DO I LOOK UP THE LAW ON THIS ISSUE? |

You can show an image taken in a public store yes.
Check with your local police dept too. But if you label them a thief and they are not--they can sue you. |
