Default please help

hi im a female 23 years old from united kingdom (birmingham) with 2 young children under the age of 5 i returned to my home this morning to find my house had been broken into an some items were stolen ( television,laptop,computer,sat nav etc.) an my back door was damaged the police were phoned an when they attended i asked them for a crime number an they said they wernt going to give me one as they dont see it as a crime ive been phoning the police station all day to try an get a crime number an all i kept hearing was someone will call you back an i didnt have not one phone call i was just woundering why they didnt see it as a crime and what do you recomend i should do? thankyou

That makes no sense based on what you say here.

Call the chief of the dept and complain...if the home were really broken into, they must handle it for you.

Have World Law's UK lawyers intervene if need be. Cost should be minimal.
