I need some advice
West Virginia
I was accused in April of hitting someone in a bar fight. I went to the hearing, and it was thrown out. I mean who can you believe in a bar full of drunks? Anyway here it is Sept., and the state trooper who handled the case is saying the prosecuting attorney wants all new statements, because he believes there is more to the whole story. What are my options? Both sides have witnesses, but why would this go before a jury, or constitute any more attention? Can they take me back to court after it was originally thrown out? The guy i'm accused of hitting didn't even see who hit him, they just a witness that said they saw me do it, and i didn't. I need some advice. |

That is a bit odd. They would have to say new evidence or new charges exist.
It would be best for you to have a lawyer deal with them asap and see what is really going on. |
