Default Expungment/ Sealed records/Adjudication in Texas

I am a first time poster. I need advise on some matters in my life situation. I got arrested in 1976 for possesion of Marijuana over 4 ounces. Plead guilty to court with pitch and $400 Fine. I committed the crime. Now 31 years latter I am still paying for it by not being able to work. I do not know if it was defferred adjudicated. I know I did 3 years probation and payed all the fees and fines. Can I get this cleared from my record? Can some one give me some direction. I have called two different attorneys who seem very reluctant to take this on. Thanks for any reply.

Hi: You may as a first step call the clerk of the court that was involved to see if it is possible to have it sealed, expunged, cleared, pardoned, etc. The clerk will normally know, and will often help direct you if it is indeed possible. Let us know if you have any problems. Or, the WLD lawyers charge approx. 350 dollars to review the file/case and then 800 for court appearances etc. if you are indeed eligible.
