Question California: Is high school responsible for having a convicted felon as a coach?

Can you hold a high school responsible for having a convicted felon still on probation as part of the baseball coaching staff?

Is he a convicted repeat offender?

This depends on the nature of the conviction and the original charges and the state it occurs in.

For example, driving while your license is suspended as a 3rd offense is consider a felony in Florida. Just because someone had some youthful indiscretions and didn't keep their license valid isn't necessarily a reason to bar from teaching if it happened long ago and they have since been an upstanding citizen who is otherwise qualified to teach.
