Ok i wrote 2 hot checks back in 2004 and forgot about them. They were turned in in 2004 but nothing has been done with them since, I've received no contact about them. In April of 2009 warrants were issued on these checks. Is this legal or does it fall under the 2 yr statute of limitations for a misdemeanor. They are both charged at a Class C misdemeanor in Texas. Would really appreciate any help

The warrants are most likely still active.
You need to hire counsel and resolve ASAP. |
