Minor in possession: I had NO idea there was beer in my car

It was 10 am on a Thursday morning and I was on my way to work. My brother who is 23 had my car for the previous week because he woudln't start so I was driving my parents. I got in it and saw two beer boxes, since I was in a hurry to get to work I checked to make sure they were empty and they WERE! I got pulled over for speeding on my way to work and he saw a corner of the box and then asked if he could search my car. I said sure, he asked if there was beer and i said NO, absolutely not, those boxes are empty. What happened was he found 3. Two under the seat squished and one in the center counsel, blown up cause it was frozen. None of these were in plain sight so how in the hell would I have known there was indeed beer in my car!!!???!!! I'm 5 month from being 21!! Only ticket I had was a seatbelt. Can I fight this considering I had NO idea there was beer in my car?

Probably, it's a $100 fine anyway in NC.
