Default Alaska...does a US citizen have rights against Canadian TV productions?

My mother was murdered by my step father four years ago. He was convicted of 1st degree murder (and 1st degree attempted murder for shooting at a friend who was also present). I recently discovered that a firm in Canada produced and sold a program about this incident and has been running that program for over a year. I was never contacted, nor was anyone I know or anyone who knew my mother other than possibly my step father or his sons. I recently found the "audition application" for my mother's "role", and it completely mis-represents her. It is extremely hurtful and the President of the production company has failed to answer any direct questions about the sources of their information. To date this program has only been aired in the UK and Canada. I obviously don't want it run in the US. How can I compell this company to provide information (they refuse to give me a copy or answer my question regarding the purchase of one) to me or to keep them from broadcasting it in the US. It is being run in the UK by the bio.channel and suggests that "it will make you rethink your ideas about love murder and the law". The law worked just fine based on the actual facts, and I'm pretty upset that those facts are being warped in their production.
