RICO, Rackateering and corrupt organizations HELP

I am asking for my husband and also I need to know what I may be in for and how to protect my self and waht to do.My husband has a civil case in federal district court t. They have not served him as our home got foreclosed and we sent our stuff to a mailing service because I am living in our 5th wheel. I tried Aug 12th to get him off it but they would not remove his name. Anyways the court sent a huge box and considers him served. We have no money and are trying to sell our boat to get him an attorney. He was supposed to answer the summons but we didnt, do not have a clue as to how to do it. What happens if you dont answer the summons? Also they are saying there was corruption and rackateering and a bunch of other stuff, so how do we get him an attorney. He just got involved with the wrong people and he is the small fish who got drug in. These guys that made the money can afford their big attys. My husband was the contracted to buidl homes, these other guys from the mortgage companies to the appraiser did some dishonest things like, buying the land and selling it for more than double to the customer. They hired the appraiser who lied and the mortgage people who lied and doctored peoples apps. They hired different builders and everyone of them was set up to fail. My husband had a non refundable deposit and never built because the customer was sold land that was ready to build on and it wasnt. There are so many other things. I am scared because he has no representation and he will be the one who get nailed. What kind of attorney do we need and how do we get one? Also I just found out the other guy and others are being investigated by the FBI & states atty general. I sometimes feel like I should just leave but I do not want to leave someone at the lowest point in our lives. We also have to file bankruptcy, could all this hold that up? Any help would be so appreciated.

If criminal charges are involved you will be given an attorney.

If it is civil only and you have no assets then they will have a hard time collecting even if you lose the case given what you say here.

At least have counsel give you a preliminary opinion about the case.
