Embezzlement Question

I made an extremely dumb mistake and stole about $3,600 from my employer over 6 months time. I am so ashamed of what I did. I was fired this morning and three supervisors followed me from my desk where I gathered my personal belongings and then followed me out to my car, all the while, one of them was calling me names and saying the police were going to be at my door this afternoon. I know they are going to call the police and do everything the can to have me arrested and charged. I know I will need to pay them back and I am very sorry, but I didn't think it would be very smart to say so at the time. I don't think they're going to give me my final paycheck and I'm not about to call and ask for it.

Does anyone know how quickly I should expect the police to show up? Will they go to the office and look at the evidence and then come and arrest me right away? I have never been in trouble or arrested and am very scared.

Firstly do not say anything and hire legal counsel asap. The police may or may not come.

There are a lot of circumstances in every situation. Let your lawyer guide you.
