old sex offense case

my sister is on the california megans law website she had an affair with a 15 yr old boy almost 16 yrs ago and it is the only time she ever got into trouble her whole life/ is there anyway to get off the website/ many have said it is possible to go back to court how do we start the process and is there any hope to finally put this behind her?

Not easy to do.

But consult an experienced criminal law lawyer and have all details of the conviction at hand.

There may be some alternatives, or even a pardon, but it depends on what was the conviction, circumstances etc.

theres probably no way to do it w/o a lawyer right ? if anyone has anymore answers please respond /any detailed info anyone has is greatly appreciated thanks again to the last responder

You may as a first step call the clerk of the court that was involved to see if it is possible to have it sealed, expunged, cleared, pardoned, etc. The clerk will normally know, and will often help direct you if it is indeed possible. Let us know if you have any problems.
