Confused Attempted Burglary/Battery on a convicted Felon in his own home

I live in Florida. My scenario goes like this - My son is a convicted Felon in the state of Florida. He was at his home and a friend stops by with another young man my son does not know. This Unknown person starts shooting off his mouth and pulls a knife on my son in his home, he attempts to cut my son (who has a small wound on his hand from the attack), my son attempts to defend himself and this unknown person pulls out brass knuckles and goes to hit my son. My son then hits this person in the face and he drops the brass knuckles, my son grabs the brass knuckles and hits this person and throws him out of his house. We believe this unknown person may have reported this to the police and are wondering how this would procede in the courts if he has. I appreciate any advice anyone has to offer.

10 People have viewed this and not 1 response??? Thanks for helping me out here.

IF A GUY CAN SHOOT AND KILL ANOTHER PERSON WHO HAS ENTERED HIS HOUSE UNLAWFULLY AND GET OFF CLEAN, THEN YOUR SON SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THIS CASE.
