Default possible assault?

After getting into a bit of an argument with my ex, I managed to toss wine in her face and walk away. Unbeknownst to me, this apparently constitutes assault/battery. What I want to know is

1) Can I check to see if a warrant for my arrest exists anywhere?
2) How long can she wait before pressing charges?
3) Does this kind of thing ever stick in court? I feel dumb for doing it, but knowing that it's illegal makes me wonder if there's anything I can do NOW to help myself.

Default Re: possible assault?

True but the DA is not likely to prosecute solely for that.

If a warrant existed they normally would have been out to your house to get your views on the issue, and/or arrest.
