So I replyed, thinking I\'ve always deleted any emails like these, but this time this email seamt a little different, so what have I got to loose, let\'s just see what happens.

Two days later that evening after work, Mr.Cobbs actually called me(I had trouble understanding him, due to his neatherlandish accent) congratulating me, and told me my email address was selected thru Microsoft on some Day in March\'08 , when I was one of aprox. 250.000 people that day to search the internet with a category or level 1! So he explained to me I will be receiving a email the next few days with instructions and a claimsform attachment, that I have to submit incl. a copy of proof of my ID, for them to verrify, that I am the rightfull owner of this email address.

So I\'ve done it, still questioning his and their ligitimacy of their company and proof of microsoft.

He later replyed: We acknowledge the receipt of your email and confirm that information contained theirin are confidential and will only be used for the purpose of issue of your certificate of Award.

We wish to congratulate you and formally inform you that you have won the sum of 2,500,000.00 (Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) With Ref Number: NL 80 OS 9414,Batch Number: 45-NL/2008 and Ticket Number: 12 /2008-03 in the last email-lottery draw, organized by Lotto ..NL Netherlands.
Initial correspondence dated May 2008 was deem unsuccessful and we received no correspondence thereafter, thus our inability to process your claims. Nevertheless we have received a correspondence as confirmation of your person and would immediately begin your claims process.

Be informed that your winning prize has a hardcover insurance policy that makes it impossible to make any deduction of any kind, until the sum is finally credited into your designated account.
This process is vital and urgent following the instruction from our clients that all prize money should be claimed on or before 14 days ,thereafter, unclaimed funds would be included in the next stake.
After the verification, the Gaming Board will nominate a bank here in Netherlands that will be in charge of the lottery pay out. You will be required to set up an account with this bank, this will enable a successful bank to bank transfer of your winning cash prize.

So, his next email:

This is to confirm the receipt of your completed claims form and your valid identification document.

We like to inform you that we have submitted your information to the office of the European Gaming Board (EGB) for proper verification exercise and this vector process is to verify if you are the true owner of the e-mail address that won this cash price before your winning price can be approve for payout.

After the verification exercise the European Gaming Board will be nominating a payment bank that will be in charge of your transfer transaction. When this is done i will forward you the details requirement that is needed by the paying bank.

Before the ending of today we shall be sending you email in this regards, that is if your verification come out successful.

We have received your information and also recorded the required information from the claims form in our central computing system.

Having done all the proper verification exercise from our entire department, we found you worthy of the cash prize in our lottery program organized by E-Lottery NL.
