Unhappy threatneing & harrassment =felony?

i was arrested for threatening and harrassment and i had implied that i had a firearm but really didnt. isaid it out of anger im stoopid!! then again for threatening and harrassment but no firearm this time . the first charge was a felony i guess which is dumb.the rest were misdaminors. All took place over the phone! I got referred to faimly violence classes for the first charges and applied for my A.R. on the second. I have no record at all. Never was in trouble for anything but like criminal tresspass at like 16. im worried am i going to do jail time???? i go to court in a few days.

Not likely; you will normally get counseling etc.

But you should have a lawyer involved to help negotiate this down--don't handle this yourself.

My German boyfriend has the same problem. He was arrested (and still in jail for 5 days now) for harassment filed by his ex wife who is apparently in Canada. I dont understand why they are still keeping him there. What happened was he went to his ex-wifes house, ex wifes lover opened the door but he slammed it close on him. They had a bad divorce back in the 90s. My bf found his exwife with this guy on their bed that caused the divorce but they didnt have like a real closure about it. What could happen to my boyfriend? He is just there for a project. He is not based in Canada. Do they have grounds on keeping him there for a long time? Im much worried about him and so is he. Please help.
