under age drinking
My 17 yr old daughter was charged with under aged drinking while on vacation with her dad in Wisconsin, USA. She lives in Manitoba, Canada. The fine will be payed before the date indicated on the the paper but, she was told she has to appear in court in the county she was charged in. My ?'s are : does she have to appear even if the fine is payed and will this charge hamper her ability to cross the border into the USA in the future.

it's only a misdemeanor. she will still be allowed to enter. if the fine is paid it should say that she does not have to appear. but i would call the court she's suppose to appear in to find out.
