My brother was recently questioned at the local police station. He was falsely accused by a MALE acquaintance of rape. The police told my brother to stay in town for further questioning. Do we have any legal rights against this person? My brother has been in some trouble before, but the accuser filed this claim out of revenge.
My mother is ill and recently had surgery-emotional stress does not help this situation. I don't understand how someone could do this. |

It would be good to get counsel involved but the case should be dismissed if there is no real evidence.

Thank you for your reply. Do you know of a group or anyone I could get in touch with to advise us in this manner?

email World Law Direct at info@worldlawdirect.com (or use the private "Ask An Attorney" web question form on the home page), and briefly list the subject. WLD lawyers may help outline a strategy for you to deal with this. The post you made is on file with WLD staff.
