That varies state by state.

You may as a first step call the clerk of the court that was involved to see if it is possible to have it sealed, expunged, cleared, pardoned, etc. The clerk will normally know, and will often help direct you if it is indeed possible. Let us know if you have any problems.

And/or let us know your location.

My location is in Allen, Texas. Could I find out the court clerk that handled my case by getting a copy of my criminal record? I am an HVAC Technician, I moved here from Tennessee and I have to register with the state of Texas in order to work in this state as a service tech. I do not have any violent crimes or sexual offenses but I do have theft and burglary. I was convicted in '03 and have since moved on with my life and raising my family but my record is keeping me from continuing my career. Anything can help, Thank you.
