Immigration/criminal law
I have a friend who is attempting to move to Canada from the US on a wrk permit and one of the questions that he has to answer on the application form is Have you ever been arrested or charged with any criminal offence in any country. He has had a few misdameanour charges but they all took place in Municipal court and he only had to pay fines... he was never put on probation or anything like that. So i was wondering what he has to claim on that form and what he should do. Thankss!

[misdemeanor charges ]
Check with the prosecutor that was involved but misdemeanor charges are criminal charges...if that is what they really were. |
