Unhappy can I get a citaiton in the mail after an incident

I was recently spoken to by a police officer and asked to leave a public place, which I subsequently did. I didn't receive any citation and was wondering if I should worry that I may receive one in the mail.

He certainly can do that if he wishes but normally he would give it to you there.
