Old charge - exisiting charges???
A friend of mine went to Maine (Blue Hill) about 30 years ago, got thrown in jail for a night of being drunk and rowdy. Charged for being drunk and resisting arrest and maybe assaulting a police officer. He was supposed to go back, but once released to go back to Canada, he never tried to enter the States again, and never heard anything. What would be the best way to find out if there is a criminal record or exisiting charges without being arrested.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

You could hire counsel to help arrange a surrender if charges exist. They could verify.

Thank you for your advice. So getting a criminal lawyer and getting them to check it out would, thats an avenue he hadn't thought of yet. He was thinking applying for a U.S. Waiver. Is there a statute of limitation on these things???
