is it leagal to search ones work locker with out him present?
my locker was searched while i was on vacation and i was told i was dismissed because alcohol was found inside it , is this action legal?, anyone could have cut my lock and added the booze them a new lock which i was not present to say yes that is my lock on that locker ! i truley believe i was taken out by jeaously...this is international , however all involved are americans including the company , a major oil company which did not have an oil company direct involved in the opening of the lockers.. !

If you can seriously make that argument and prove it you would prevail. Searches are legal unless the employer has designated the space as your own private space and you have an expectation of privacy. It may be that you do here and that they violated applicable local law. Have a quick chat with whatever labor board governs your work. |
