Default Is It Possible To Have A Federal Felony Record Sealed??

I have talked to several Lawyers that tell me that only with a Presidental pardon can a Federal record be sealed.I had a conviction 12 years ago that I was given 2 years probation.Never did anything wrong before that or after, and this one mistake has cost me about 95% of the jobs out there. Is there any possibilties or am I doomed to nothing jobs for the rest of my life? Help!!
