Expungement denied by a court in Los Angeles

My question is that I have a case for DV from the 1980s and wanted to get it expunged under 1203.4. What happen was I went in myself and filed the paper work. They said they would contact me in four weeks and never did. So I call the court in East Los Angeles only to here the word denied. I was wondering why it was denied so I ask. They said the judge didn't have to give a reason. Now don't get me wrong I made mistakes when I was younger. And the case is over twenty years ago. But they told me I would need to see a site judge. I then waited and went on line to a legal and representable firm in Costa Mesa which all they did was take my $595.00 file the paper work and tell me that the judge denied it again for the second time. They also informed me that I had a probation violation. Because I had got into trouble for the same thing. I was wonder if anyone was doing pro bono work because I am in school and cant be a social worker and receive my B.A. with a misdemeanor violent s. I am going to school now and graduate with my A.A. degree and I had a felony DV wobbler which was reduce then dismissed. I also had another misdemeanor that was dismissed so I don't understand why this one was not dismissed and no one seems to be telling me. I am just trying to make good in my life and help others but I cant seem to get the help I need.

I would suggest you have a lawyer handle it all. It is worth the fee which should not be too much.
