Has anyone here had experience/observed Medicaid Fraud?
We became aware of possible Medicaid Fraud and contacted the state agency that issued the cards. They have turned it over to the Fraud Investigation Division. I'm just wondering how that process works. Is it long and drawn out? Will the suspect be brought in for questioning? Will the suspect know who reported it? Will we ever know the outcome? How is it classified (misdemeanor/felony)? What kind of sentences are ordered if found guilty? Would Medicaid have had to PAY OUT for it to be fraud or could the mere fraudulent application that resulted in the cards being issued be sufficient? We also suspect forgery on one of the application documents but we are not 'named' on the application so have been told they will not share that information with us. |
