Someone please help my brother
My brother pled guilty to a child molestation charge around 2005, of which he is not guilty. Just before he was to go to trial, his wife found out she had breast cancer and was'nt expected to live. His attorney, a public defender, told him that in 10 years it would be off his record. So at the urging of his wife and pd, he pled guilty. The court sentenced him to 8 years probation plus he was told he could never reopen the case. I understand now that the law has changed and once you've been convicted, it will be on your record the rest of your life. If there is an attorney or anyone who could please help me, I would appreciate it.
