husband wrongful use of credit card

My husband and I are talking about divorce. I found out he used one of my credit cards without authorization. I called all my credit cards and reported lost.
The one where he took out more than 2,000 they asked me if I know him (we were married in Mexico) I said he was a friend that occasionally made purchases for me....An investigation is pending, should I wait for a result or call back and say that he is in fact my husband and used the card without me knowing?
