I recently found out that someone has been going into my bank account without my consent. I told the bank that I had a feeling someone was in my bank account. The gentlemen I talked to at the bank got all my information, then ask when was the last time I went online to check my banking account. I told him months ago, he said "someone was in it as we speak". The banker immediatley closed the account for me. A few minutes later the banker called me back to tell me someone was trying to get back in my account via the internet then the phone line. I had someone call my wife at work to make sure she was there and she was. I later found out that my wife and her brother were the ones doing it. They went in and changed my password so they could access the account. I also have checks that my wife wrote without my consent to herself, for amounts ranging from $50.00-$460.00. This action of hers cost me a small fortune in bounced checks/NSF fees. What kind of legal action can I take. |

She violated the law so you could try to have her charged--but prosecutors are often reluctant to intervene if you two are still married and not divorcing. You can resolve it as a family matter, or try to get the police to act (if you want her to have to deal with that).
