Confused Lawsuit due to ID theft

i was a victim of ID-theft. i filed a police report only to find out later a car had also been pruchased in my name. I am now being sued for the car and didnt know i had to respond in 30 day from being served. i now have 30days to respond to why i didnt reply the first time or else i will be garnished. i cannot afford a lawyer and legal aid has too much to handle and unable to help me. what can i do to file in time?

Show the police report to the other sides lawyers and show the judge as well.

They should either drop the case or they will have o try to proce you filed a false police report--which would be a criminal act.
