Confused Pro Se Motion Filed Against me..Help!!

My daughters biological father has filed a pro se motion against me saying I am denying his visitation rights to our daughter. And how she is missing out on being with him and having a relationship with her. My daughter is 13 yrs old and he has not exercised his visitation rights to her for 12 years. He lives back in IL where the case started but I live in FL. He has tried to deny he is the father twice by filing a pro se motion each time. My daughter wants nothing to do with him and has written a statement about it that we will have notorized. I need to know since I can not financially afford to go back to IL to fight this not to mention my new job starts 2 days before the court date. Can I file a pro se motion to have the case dismissed and give ample enough reasons for the dismissal along with her notorized statement on her wishes? Or what can I do?

Thank You
JT

Not if the court has actually set a hearing date...but you can call and see if you could appear by telephone--

if any other court has dealt with you and has jurisdiction already, that would be reason to dismiss.

I have already called the county in which the pro se motion was made and they said that I can file a counter pro se motion to try and have the case dismissed. Thank you very much for your response.
